I just received this, and cooked up my first batch of basmati rice. I can only say WOW!! The rice is sooo perfect, like nothing I've ever achieved at home before. Better than some restaurants for sure. I love it already. I would recommend this to anyone, it is SO good. Can't wait to try steaming some potatos and vegetables.
The shipping was really fast as well, about a week to sweden. You only need to buy a swedish powercable and you are good to go straight out of the box.
Definitely worth every penny, and that I can say after just one use. Thanks!
As a Chinese I have a high standard on rice cooker. Previously I used a Panasonic rice cooker for 5 years, which I like it a lot. This Zojirushi rice cooker is really nice. Compared to my previous Panasonic, one good thing of Zojirushi is when you open the lid when it is done, water on the inner lid won't drop on the rice. It also has "cake" function. Another good point of Zojirushi is the multi-water volumes according to the different mode. I noticed that the cooking time in Zojirushi cannot be customized, which is a good & bad thing. Since the cooking time is fixed, you always get same quality. But some people might prefer rice a little bit harder and so on, they have no choice. Another obvious thing is price. Zojirushi has higher price than others. I am not saying it is over-priced, since the improvement of rice cooker is not linear to its price. once you buy this rice cooker, it is hard to go back
Really excellent rice cooker, excellent replacement for our old machine, and delivers incredible results.
The rice it produces is perfect, but also it creates wonderful cakes and other dishes (i think it's made the best carrot cake ive had).
We use it once or twice every day, and it is delightfully easy to use, it is also very easy to keep clean. I can't recommend it enough!
Big fan, use it every other day. Produces beautiful rice, an hour for white/sushi rice, 110 mins for brown. Timer function (didn't think I'd use it) is simple to use, remembers last setting. Set the rice menu, push timer, push start, it's that simple. The steam basket is useful for cooking a whole meal. Wild rice, salmon straight from freezer, and a couple of boiled eggs. All done in an hour, no hassle. Vegetables can be inserted halfway through. The bake function is awesome, I've tried a couple of cakes now. The banana cake from YumAsia blog is fantastic. I've added chopped walnuts and dates to top before baking, it doesn't last the day.
An expensive, debated purchase, I'm glad I went for it. The steam, bake functions make it a lot more versatile. Top product and top service from YumAsia.
